The story of iLAB + Ball State truly stems from a place of deep respect and mutual admiration. iLAB CEO, Jethro Lloyd, and BSU Associate Professor, Dr. Becky Hammons, Becky was the second person Jethro met Becky was one of the first industry professional to truly speak about the importance of quality in software; a real thought leader. The partnership was finally able to come to fruition due to Ball State University having the foresight to understand that future of their students’ success relied heavily on the support of employers.

This course will give the Mobile Tester the knowledge skills needed to test mobile applications and to understand the differences and similarities in testing mobile applications to conventional applications.

About the Professor

Dr. Rebecca Hammons has extensive technology industry experience in establishing and leading software quality assurance, product development
lifecycle services, and project management teams. Strengths include technical leadership, process improvement and automation, predictive
analytics for software, and strategic planning.

Dr. Hammons has worked for Ontario Systems, Apple, Raytheon, Tivoli Systems and Wang, in
addition to several niche software firms. She is a Certified Quality Manager and Certified Software Quality Engineer with the American
Society for Quality (ASQ) and a Certified Scrum Master and Certified Scrum Product Owner with Scrum Alliance. Dr. Hammons received her
Ed.D. and M.A. from Ball State University and her B.A. from Michigan State University. She has taught Project Management and Software
Quality courses for the Purdue School of Technology at IUPUI, the Certified Software Quality Engineer Body of Knowledge for ASQ, and
numerous workshops for technology companies and BSU’s graduate program in Adult, Community and Higher Education.

Her dissertation research was in self-directed learning for software quality practitioners. Current technology industry research interests include
Slow Tech, Burnout Theory, Human Factors and Gold-Collar Workers. Dr. Hammons is refreshing courseware for delivery of CICS Survey of
Management; Human Factors, Needs Assessment and User-Driven Design; Usability Testing; and History and Culture of Telecommunications.

Dr. Hammons thrives on leading organizational change initiatives and coaching individuals and teams to reach their full potential.
